Dozens of Indonesian Students Regiment Dispatched to Palu, Sigi, and Donggala

UNJ Public Relations 15/10/2018, Indonesian Student Regiment dispatched 38 members to earthquake and tsunami locations in Palu, Sigi and Donggala, Central Sulawesi. All dispatched members had given knowledge of disaster management from BNPB (National Agency for Disaster Countermeasure). On the field they would focused to several infrastructure spots that should be restored and would brought logistic aids for the refuges. They also brought traumatic healing for victims, especially for children.

“We are shoved to help our sisters and brothers in Palu, Sigi, and Donggala where earthquake and tsunami overthrow the area” said Samuel Doko, an engineering student and a member of UNJ Student Regiment, Monday (10/15/2018)

Release ceremony of Indonesian Student Regiment held at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Sofyan Hanif as the Vice Rector for Student affairs led the ceremony represented the Director General of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Prof. Intan Ahmad, PhD who is also the Acting Rector of UNJ. Another university leader that participated in the event was Dr. Ahmad Ridwan, M.Si as the Vice rector for planning and cooperation affairs. Commander of Jayakarta Student Resiment, Raden Umar, M.Pd attended the event and he represented the Indonesian Student Regiment Alumni Association. Furthermore, all of Indonesian Student Regiments leaders participated in this social action as well.

The departure of Indonesian Student Regiment volunteers through the Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport by using the Air Force’s Hercules Aircraft.
