Public Relations of UNJ (7/28/2019) – Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) became the host in a National Seminar and Congress III Association of Economics Education-Institute of Teacher’s Education (APE-LPTK) on 26th -28th July 2019 at Mercure Convention Center Ancol, North Jakarta. There appeared the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Menristekdikti), Prof. H. Mohamad Nasir, Ph.D., Ak., Acting Rector of UNJ, Prof. Intan Ahmad, along with the board of Rectorate of other higher educational institutions.

APE-LPTK is a professional organization aiming at accommodating all Economics Education Departments in Indonesia. As a communication forum, APE-LPTK contributes to initiating a number of programs organized by its members, realizing cooperation with a view to developing the Economics Education in Indonesia; therefore, it has been playing a big role in the Economics Education Development. APE-LPTK has optimized the established networking of universities to address various current issues in relation to the development of higher education in Indonesia.

The National Seminar and Congress III of APE-LPTK this time picked a theme of Transformation of Economics Education Association – Institute of Teacher’s Education (APE-LPTK) in Industrial Revolution Era 4.0. Prof. Mohamad Nasir remarked that there are three impacts of Industrial Revolution 4.0 toward Economics Faculty – LPTK. They are: A Demand for New Literation; Curriculum Revision, New Department, and Massive Online Marketing. He added that we have to master the knowledge of Information Technology (IT), Automation, Internet of Thing (IoT), and Big Data Analysis in addition to mastery of the economics/accounting skill and the knowledge. Other speakers attending and presenting their paper besides the minister were Dr. Deni Darmanwan, M.Si., from Indonesia University of Education (UPI), with his presentation on Digital Economics Learning, and Prof. Indra Maipita, M.Si., Ph.D. from State University of Medan (UNIMED) delivering his lecture on Urgency of Digital Business Department for APE-LPTK.

This seminar was participated by 12 higher educational institutions in Indonesia, namely: State University of Jakarta (UNJ), State University of Malang (UM), State University of Surabaya (UNESA), State University of Semarang (UNNES), Indonesia University of Education (UPI), State University of Makassar (UNM), State University of Medan (UNIMED), State University of Gorontalo (UNG), State University of Yogyakarta (UNY), State University of Manado (UNIMA), Ganesha University of Education (UNDIKSHA), and State University of Padang (UNP).
