SBMPTN Info Day 2019
Public Relations UNJ (15/6/2019) – New students admission through Seleksi Bersama Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SBMPTN) 2019 has started since June 10 and will end on June 24, 2019. Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), University of Indonesia (UI) and Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Syarief Hidayatullah arrange an event called SBMPTN Info Day at UI’s Balairung on Saturday, June 15, 2019. The Chief Executive of Lembaga Tes Masuk Perguruan Tinggi (LTMPT), Prof. Dr. Ir. Budi Prasetyo Widyobroto, DESS., DEA. attended this year’s Info Day as the guest speaker.
SBMPTN Info Day aimed to socialize the correct procedures of this year’s SBMPTN or new student admissions for state universities throughout Indonesia to handle false information regarding the registration procedure, which confuses the prospective students. The event was also held to share strategies for the prospective students in choosing state university and study programs according to their interest and their obtained grades. These strategies can be used for every state universities in Indonesia.
“Until now, State Universities’ Rectors, Vice-Rectors, and LTMPT have never released passing grades for any study programs. If there is information circulating regarding this matter, it is certainly not from the LTMPT,” explained Budi Prasetyo. Admission through the SBMPTN depends on several things, including; choice of the university, choice of the study program, the quota of the study program, number of enthusiasts, student’s test result, and number of study program applicants. Moreover, there is also clarification for the false information regarding the weighting of the UTBK sub-test to apply for certain study programs in a state university. The truth is that the system will automatically select the best UTBK score from the composition of the first wave UTBK value or Package 1 or the second wave UTBK value or Package 2 (for those who take the test twice).
Along with SBMPTN, Universitas Negeri Jakarta also opens the New Student Admissions (PENMABA) for Diploma (D3) and Bachelor Program (S1) from May 20, 2019, to the upcoming July 12, 2019. The second wave of Postgraduate Program (S2 and S3) admission has also been opened from May 27 to August 2, 2019. More information regarding PENMABA can be accessed through http://penmaba.unj.ac.id.
