Trace of Movement in Space, Time and Sense (Indonesian: Jejak Gerak Dalam Ruang Waktu dan Rasa (JAGAKARSA)) was chosen to be the theme of this recital. The event was created because students of the Dance Education study program of UNJ have an obligation to bring the good name to the University in the form of a recital as a manifestation of the success of achieving learning outcomes. JAGAKARSA is a development in the form of dance movements from time to time that has a scope of traditional creation, non-tradition, contemporary, modern and postmodern. Students of the Dance Education study program aspire to be the young generation to meet civilization, which left traces in culture in the form of dance movements.

This dance recital also has another purpose that is to develop the potential of young choreographers in dance culture, whether it is in the creation of tradition or non-tradition, to introduce dance and music as the nation’s identity, to build a relation between young generation and society, to increase the creativity in making art, and to be a vessel for choreographers in expressing their innovations.
