PERMATA-SAKTI Program 2019
Public Relations of UNJ (8/13/2019) – Coping with the challenges of higher education in globalization era, it is urgent that the higher education institutions in Indonesia keep developing to promote the quality of education and to strengthen network among institutions. Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia and MRPTNI through its Exchange Program of Student in the Archipelago – Credit Transfer System by |Information Technology (PERMATA-SAKTI) is hoping that this program can offer an opportunity for all of the students in the archipelago to participate in this exchange program either of academic or non-academic interest. The program is conducted through relevant lectures in other institutions in Indonesia, in such academic matters as obtaining or transferring credit. It also applies to extracurricular activities, including cross-cultural understanding activities provided that they meet required criteria.
PERMATA-SAKTI 2019 aims to: Broadening the insight of the nation, integrity, solidarity, national unity among students in Indonesia, by means of intercultural learning; Developing leadership ability and students’ soft skills on the basis of Pancasila to enable students to cooperatively and competitively mingle with students of other countries in the globe for the sake of national dignity by means of integrated learning; Giving an opportunity to students to gain experiences in learning in other institutions under the scheme of transferring and obtaining credit; Promoting the quality of higher education by strengthening comparative excellence each institution has; and Applying distant learning to promote quality and students’ access.
This program has been carried out since 2014. In this 2019, UNJ is participating in the program by sending 12 students to 6 partner universities; among of them are Universitas Universitas Negeri Medan (Unimed), Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP), Universitas Negeri Gorontalo (UNG), Universitas Negeri Manado (Unima), Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) Bali, and Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa), distributed respectively with 2 students.
The requirements of PERMATA-SAKTI program are as follows:
📍 Student of Bachelor’s Program of 5th Semester (a Statement Letter signed by the Dean declaring students’ active status and a portfolio print-out are required)
📍 Having GPA of minimally 3.0 (a copy of transcript is required)
📍 Never being assessed sanction for academic charges
📍 Submitting a letter of permission by parents/guardian signed on stamp duty IDR 6,000
📍 Filling out and signing the registration form
📍 Attaching a health certificate from a health care provider
📍 Having Health Insurance/BPJS (a copy of Health Insurance/ BPJS is required)
The program will be conducted in a 3-month lecture scheme (inclusively Mid-term Test) at the designated institution and advanced with online learning. The number of credits allowed is 6-18. UNJ will provide living cost and accommodation for the participants. The department in UNJ will communicate and make an arrangement with the determined department of designated institution.
It will take one semester for PERMATA-SAKTI 2019 to run, which is in Odd Semester of Academic Year 2019/2020. Extension of registration will be due on 16 August, 2019.
