Community Service Program (P2M), Faculty of Education UNJ in Sukamakmur District, Bogor Regency

GPjM FIP UNJ, 18/7/2018 – In hope to realize the Tri Dharma of University, Faculty of Education Universitas Negeri Jakarta (FIP UNJ), conducted a Community Service Program (P2M) in districts Sukamakmur, Bogor. The team leader is the dean of Faculty of Education, Dr. Sofia Hartati, M. Si who directly jumped into the field and welcomed by warmth greeting from the local leader, H. Zaenal Ashari, S.Sos,. MM along with the local aperture at district’s hall on the second floor. Besides the local leader of Sukamakmur district, there were korlasdik/Korwas, head of PGRI (Indonesian Teacher Association), Kapolsek (chief of local police), sub-regional military command, K3S, HIMPAUDI, headman representative, PKK, Public Health Office, and teacher surround the district of Sukamakmur. In other side, from Faculty of Education there were also some representative accompanied the dean, vice dean 1, 2, 3 and all the head of study programs and 48 lecturers at Faculty of Education. The P2M event was organized by Faculty of Education UNJ and triggered by the GPjM committee 2018 with themed “Implementation of Educational Services to Increase Teachers’ Knowledge and Creativity at Sukamakmur District.”

The opening of P2M event was held at 09.00 WIB. In her speech, the Dean of Faculty of Education delivered that the University has a prominent role to escalate teachers’ knowledge and creativity for the teachers and Sukamakmur society in the future.  “Sukamakmur district is a guided region under UNJ since 2007. The increasing of knowledge and creativity are able to escalate the rate of economy which will led to decrease the number of acknowledgement and illiterate for the local people.” explained the dean.

The event has started from July 18th – September 19th 2018. The total amount of participant lecturers from Faculty of Education is 127 people. It covers the study program of Early Childhood Education (PAUD), Primary Teacher Education (PGSD), Public Education (PM), Education Management (MP), Education for Children with Special Needs (PLB), Guidance and Counseling (BK) Educational Technology (TP) and master degree of Guidance and Counseling.

In Mr. Zaenal’s speech, he told that attending the event was an honor for him and he committed to realize the vision and mission of sukamakmur district.  One of the vision is to increase the quality and equality in educational realm for 244 RT, 72 RW, 35 sub-villages and 10 villages surround the sukamakmur district. He mentioned that UNJ is the only one University that is located close to The Sukamakmur district. The people in sukamakmur were very thanks for UNJ for the opportunity they had to alleviate alliteration and acknowledgement. The relations has been established since last year started with PKM (practicum of teaching), Public Education (PLS). But this moment, not only the students from public education but the lecturers from bachelor degree: PGPAUD, PGSD, BK, MP, TP, PLB/PK, and master degree of BK FIP UNJ also contributed in P2M to increase the knowledge and creativity for people in Sukamakmur,” told him.
