UNJ’s University Training Center Building Inauguration

Public Relations UNJ (02/5/2019) Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) held the inauguration of the University Training Center (UTC) Building on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Campus A, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Indonesia, Prof. H. Mohamad Nasir, Ph.D., Ak., along with his staff attended the event. The ad interim Rector of UNJ, Prof. Intan Ahmad, Ph.D., and the officials of UNJ was also there.

In his opening speech, The ad interim Rector of UNJ explained that the purpose of the construction of the UTC Building was as a training center for students of Tourism Travel, Culinary Art, and Family Welfare Education study programs. Minister of Research, Technology, and Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. H. Mohamad Nasir, Ph.D., Ak. in his speech appreciated UNJ for building the UTC Building. “I give the highest appreciation level to UNJ who have completed constructions of the University Training Center without funding from the government.” Moreover, Prof. H. Mohamad Nasir, also hopes that this building will be a center for human resource development and added value for students of Universitas Negeri Jakarta.

The event went on with direct observation of the rooms at the UTC Building by the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the ad interim Rector of UNJ, and the invited guests. The UTC Building has eight floors, consisting of 15 classrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors, hotel rooms on the 4th to 7th floors with a total of 74 rooms, and an auditorium on the 8th floor with a capacity of 400 people. The hotel rooms in UTC are divided into several classes equivalent to 3-star hotels, namely standard, deluxe, suite and executive rooms. This building will also be a source of income for UNJ to increase the PNBP of Universitas Negeri Jakarta.
