Public Relations UNJ (29/4/2019) – Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) held Info Day on Friday, April 26, 2019, at Dewi Sartika Building, Lt. 2, Campus A, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The theme for this year’s Info Day is “INDIE” (Inspiring Discussion and In-Depth Exploration). The theme itself means the freedom owned by the senior year students of high school to choose their own faculties and departments that is suitable for them.

The event was organized by the New Student Admissions (PENMABA) of Universitas Negeri Jakarta as part of the promotion that includes Faculties, Postgraduate School, and all students of Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The acting Vice Rector for Academic and Planning Cooperation, Dr. Achmad Ridwan, M.Si. was the one who opened the event. Vice Rector for Public Administration and Finance, Dr. Komarudin, M.Si., Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Achmad Sofyan Hanif, M.Pd., and the Deans of all Faculties of Universitas Negeri Jakarta also attended the event.

Dr. Achmad Ridwan, M.Si., welcomed the participants who attended INDIE. “Welcome to INDIE, participants! All of you are the lucky ones to take part in this event because you can get detailed information about every study programs available at Universitas Negeri Jakarta”. The Vice Rector for Academic and Planning Cooperation also said that in the Social and Humanities fields, 7 Study Programs of Universitas Negeri Jakarta is in the top 20 of the 2019 SNMPTN in Indonesia. UNJ’s Management, Communication Sciences, and Accounting are the top three. Dr. Achmad Ridwan hoped that with this event, participants are able to find study programs that suit their interests and talents. “Choosing a study program is equal to choosing the future. Hopefully, this event can reduce the trend of choosing the wrong study program among senior year high school students,” said Dr. Achmad Ridwan, M.Si.

INDIE is also a platform to promote admission through students achievements program. This is a special pathway for students who have achievements in academic and non-academic fields (science and technology, social humanities, arts and literature, sports, and Hafidz Al Quran) to enroll in Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The scope of achievement required to register can be a national or international level. For the national level, participants must at least won the 3rd place, while at the international level, participants must have passed the national level screening stage (representing Indonesia) from official institutions. For Hafidz Al Quran, participants must memorize 15 Juz at the minimum. Differing from the previous years, this year’s Info Day also includes aptitude tests, career education, and educational exhibitions for the participants. Approximately 1500 students in class XI and XII of high school, vocational school, or equivalent in Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi areas attended INDIE.
