HAR Tilaar and His Newest Book about Critical Pedagogy

UNJ Public Relations 10/18/2018  This morning, Prof. Dr. HAR Tilaar M.Sc ED conducted his book review event which concerned on critical transformative pedagogy for Indonesian and Economics Education. This event held on Thursday morning at Latief Hendradiningrat hall, Dewi Sartika building, Campus A UNJ.

This event reviewed HAR Tilaar’s book which is titled “An Introduction Development of Creative Human Resources and Economics Education: A Critical Transformative Pedagogy Approach an Indonesia Case” and attended by students and lectures from various fields around UNJ. The reviewing process was done by Prof. Dr. Emil Salim, an economist, intellectual, and politician in Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Dedi Purwana E.S., M.Bus, as the professor of economics and the dean of Economics Faculty UNJ, and Dr. Susi Fitri, M.Si., Kons as the lecture of Guidance and Counseling program in UNJ. The event was moderated by Dr. Mohammad Abduhzen as the education expert.

Vice Rector for general administration and finance affairs, Dr. Komarudin, M.Si represented the acting rector of UNJ who did not come because have to accompany the president of Indonesia. In his speech “this critical pedagogy will reveal the Primordialism and Neoliberalism even other issues related to it. This issue should be understood certainly by public because it is a fundamental science for the survival of Education in Indonesia today”. He also said that the direction of Indonesian education would always be the same and always relevant from the past to the present, respect other human being. Prof. Dr. HAR Tilaar M.Sc Ed added that “the concept of Tut Wuri Handayani would always relevant since the era of Ki Hajar Dewantara up to now, where men always respect others not seen other men as a source of economy,” Vice Rector for General Administration and Finance Affairs hope this reviewing moment able to clarify how the education will be implemented in Indonesia.
