The Pancasila Day commemoration ceremony was held with the theme of Pancasila as a Fundamental of National Enforcement heading toward the Advanced and Peaceful Indonesia. Pancasila is reserved for the national ideology to be embedded to, conveyed and implemented by Indonesian people in their daily life in such a way that it becomes the fundamental value and principle persistently running from generation to generation.
The Inspector of the ceremony, Dr. Komarudin, M.Si. seemed to get on the podium and to lead the participants for a moment of silence. Next, the scripts of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and the pledge were read. The pledge was read by the Vice Rector for Students’Affairs, Prof. Sofyan Hanif. In his reading the pledge, he said that all of the participants participating in this ceremony are completely aware that:
- Numerous undermining either internally or externally toward the Unitary State of Republic of Indonesia have indeed been occasionally occurring ever since the Indonesia’s Proclamation of Indonesian Independence 17th August 1945;
- The undermining is likely to result from Indonesian people’s inadvertence and lack of alertness against efforts to subvert Pancasila as the national ideology;
- Spirit of togetherness on the basis of Pancasila noble values has enabled the Indonesian nation to strengthen the Unitary State of Republic of Indonesia’.
Thus, on this Pancasila Day Commemoration, we are determined to maintain and implement the values of Pancasila as strength to promote togetherness to fight for and enforce the truth and fairness for the sake of the unity of Republic of Indonesia.
