Public Relations of UNJ (9/9/2019) – Faculty of Sports Science (FIO) of Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) was commemorating National Sports Day (HAORNAS) on Monday, September 9, 2019 at the Tennis and Basketball Court of FIO UNJ. The event was attended by the Dean of FIO, Dr. Abdul Sukur, Dean of  Faculty of Technology, Dr. Agus Dudung, Vice Director of Postgraduate Program, Prof. Ivan Hanafi, the Vice Deans of FIO, as well as the Heads of Bureaus of UNJ. This year’s event picks a theme of “Let’s do Sport in a Sports Campus.”

Dr. Abdul Sukur in his remarks invited all members of FIO UNJ, the Boards, Lecturers, Staff and Students to evoke the sport spirit in order to create a healthy, fit, and productive FIO. Therefore, this will automatically result an optimum work performance. He added that we as academics, men, and sport instructors should not forget to do sport at any place, any time and any kinds.

With a view to welcoming the National Sports Day, FIO UNJ was holding several kinds of activities for both UNJ lecturers and staff.  Two of which were the free Medical Check-Up program held on September 5-6, 2019, and free Fitness Test. The former program has interested 100 participants to register. “This medical check-up will be a regular program held once in two years”, Dr. Abdul Sukur said. In the latter, FIO gave appreciation to “The Fittest” participant in addition to other attractive gifts provided for lecturers and staff participating in the program.

Further on this occasion, Dr. Abdul Sukur was inaugurating UNJ contingent to participate in National Student Sports Week (POMNAS) XVI event of 2019. UNJ is receiving a mandate this year to host the POMNAS held for 8 days from September 9-16 and there are 19 sports branches being held for competition in this POMNAS XVI 2019. “We hope that we can organize the event successfully in terms of its administration, event organization, and achievement for sure to be dedicated for the DKI Jakarta Province,” the Dean of FIO pointed out.
