CROWNING NIGHT OF STUDENT AMBASSADORS OF UNIVERSITAS NEGERI JAKARTA 2018

UNJ Public Relations (22/11/2018) Universitas Negeri Jakarta once again revealed its latest front-liners. In Crowning Night of Student Ambassadors of UNJ 2018 (16/11), all finalists competed to earn the title. “WONDERFUL INDONESIA” was chosen as this year’s crowning night theme. The event was held in Aula Latief Hendraningrat and attended by Dr. Achmad Ridwan, Msi. as the Vice Rector for Cooperation and Planning Affairs, Khrisnamurti, M.Sc as the Head of Public Relation and Public Information, the deans of each faculty, the head of various study programs, delegates of sponsors, and also students of UNJ that was there to support their friends.

Judges appointed for this event were also the experts in their fields: Dilla Fadiela (Puteri Indonesia Perdamaian), Salsabila Oktaria (Miss Tourism and Culture Universe), and Asep Sugiarto, M.Si (Head of Public Relation and Public Information of UNJ 2015 – June 2018). The Election of Student Ambassadors of UNJ is an annual program that has the purpose to regenerate the campus’ front-liners, which later would dedicate themselves for a year under the wings of Public Relation and Public Information office. This program was created in 2012 as the representation of students who excel in both academic and non-academic.

Crowning Night of Student Ambassadors of UNJ is held every year by the Public Relation and Public Information office as the form of appreciation to the students who will represent UNJ. Student Ambassadors of UNJ are the chosen ones who had passed three selection processes and will act as the spearhead of the university to face internal and external (regional, national and international) stakeholders. Knowledge in public relations, hospitality, protocol, social grace, and leadership were given to the ambassadors as a foundation of their job. This year, more than 100 students signed up and followed the selection process. The outcome was twelve exceptional students who will represent UNJ to the public’s eye for one year.

All twelve ambassadors performed a medley dance about Indonesia as the opening act. “Student Ambassadors of UNJ has become the most important part of UNJ. UNJ had received praises from both national and international guests because of Student Ambassadors’ excellent hospitality and ability to be the MC in various events. I truly appreciate them. They are the real form of student representation, which has become an example for other national, and even international universities,” said Dr. Achmad Ridwan, M.Si before officially opening the event.

Crowning Night of Student Ambassadors of UNJ 2018 was exhilarating. Cheers from the supporters of each finalist filled the air. Dwi Ega Afriani from FBS UNJ and Indriawan Afriliana from FMIPA UNJ are chosen as the winners of the Student Ambassador of UNJ 2018. The runner-ups are Anasha Citra Melati from FIP UNJ and Aldio Deon Ariesta from FT UNJ. Resha Purnama from FE UNJ and Sarah Alfiatunnisa from FBS UNJ are chosen as the third winner of the Student Ambassador of UNJ 2018. Favorite winners are Willy Firmansyah from FBS UNJ and Salsabila Saniyya Abida from FPPSi UNJ. Aditya Gilang Rumpaka from FBS UNJ, Yovita Vina from FIP UNJ, Bayu Kurniawan from FIS UNJ, and Amalia Fadhilla Fani from FPPSi UNJ were crowned as the finalist. The event was closed by congratulations from all the guests and committee. Student Ambassadors of UNJ 2018 will later join Public Relation and Public Information office and do their job as the regeneration of UNJ’s front-liners in maintaining both good name and local wisdom of UNJ.
