UNJ Students Join The Asia University Summer Program in Taiwan

Public Relations of UNJ (7/24/2019) – Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) was holding the release of students going off Summer Program “Language and Culture” in Asia University, Taichung, Taiwan on Tuesday, 23rd July 2019 at Rectorate Building, Campus A, UNJ. The session was attended by Vice Rector for Planning and Cooperation Affairs, Dr. Achmad Ridwan, M.Si., together with the Vice Deans of the faculties of UNJ.

Dr. Achmad Ridwan, M.Si., noted that 20 students have been strictly selected by juries for the program, so they are the best of all. He explained the students, “Use this opportunity perfectly for it will improve your knowledge and widen your networking. In addition, participating in this program brings a good reputation of UNJ and the country”.

As many as 20 students among hundreds have been selected to represent UNJ. They come from several faculties. Among of them are 6 students of FBS, 4 students of FIP, 2 students of FPsi, 2 students of FE, 1 student of FT, 2 students of FIS and 2 students as UNJ Ambassador. The program was conducted in Asia University for approximately 3 weeks, commencing on 1st – 21st August 2019. Besides UNJ, Diponegoro University is participating in the program by sending 26 delegates. Summer Program “Language and Culture” was followed by 500 students of the countries in the world.

20 UNJ delegates will be involved in the summer program for a total of 57 hours. This program is designed for meeting the needs of participants, exploring the richness and diversity of the life and culture of Taiwan society. The classes they will attend cover a number of topics such as Taiwanese film and literature, culture of the temple, food, etc. This 3-week program also includes a course on intensive Mandarin Language and society’s culture. The participants will attend a daily 6-hour class which does not only apply in-class but also off-campus by participating in social activities like local movie watching, fun fair, sports, etc.
