From UNJ to UNJ, UNJ’s 55th Anniversary was Closed with the Folks Party
Public Relations UNJ (20/6/2019) – Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) held a Folks Party on June 20, 2019, at the Library Field, Campus A UNJ, Rawamangun. Director of the Research, Technology and Higher Education Science Center, Ir. Mochammad Syachrial Annas, M.M., ad Interim Rector of UNJ, Prof. Intan Ahmad, Ph.D., Vice-Rectors, deans, lecturers, students, and all members of UNJ attended the event. UNJ Partner Banks; BNI, Mandiri, BTN, and Bukopin also took part in the event. The Folks Party has become a tradition in celebrating UNJ’s Anniversary. All members of the university gather in one momentum to enliven the 55th anniversary of UNJ. This year’s party theme is in line with UNJ’s 55th Anniversary theme, which is “Synergizing Towards a Reputable University in the Asian Region.”
The party starts at 6:00 a.m. with a healthy walk around Campus A. Ad Interim Rector, Prof. Intan Ahmad, the UNJ boards, and the entire academic society of UNJ participated in this walk. Interestingly, the participants were presented with various types of entertainment, such as Dance, Band, and Pantomime during the walk at certain spots along the route.
Prof. Intan Ahmad, Ph.D. and the Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences UNJ, Prof. Dr. Suyono, M.Sc., as the committee chairman of the 55th Anniversary of UNJ, opened the event by launching three Rocket Powder in collaboration with Research, Technology, and Higher Education Science Center. This rocket launch symbolizes that UNJ is ready to accelerate in the education world in Asia and to give a contribution to Industry 4.0. In his speech, Prof. Intan expressed his appreciation to the head of this year’s committee who had prepared a series of events in the framework of UNJ’s 55th Anniversary since April up until today. He also expressed his gratitude to the sponsors who have supported this party. “Events like this is beneficial for our spirits that are usually burdened with other activities. This morning, however, we gather to rejoice,” said Prof. Intan.
The event was filled with morning exercise, various bazaars, entertainments, door prizes, and Senam Syantiq competition. Saung Angklung Udjo, who was invited to enliven this event, conducted an interactive angklung performance with 500 angklung distributed to participants. One of the dances performed at the party called “Cipta Bunga” symbolizes UNJ as an academic society, which takes part in preparing human resources with characters that continue to create works. Ormawa Expo that showcases some works of the Student Activity Unit (UKM) also add color to the party. The Folks Party is the highlight of UNJ’s 55th Anniversary. Ad Interim Rector, Prof. Intan Ahmad, Ph.D., officially closed this year’s celebration on this event.
