We should take a look back to the first year it was established when the faculty must have had dreams to reach. One dream for which efforts have been made year to year is to have an A-accreditation which has been successfully achieved.

Beyond the success, we also need to evaluate and seek the weaknesses for better future plans and for us to learn further and investigate what to improve. UNJ has a vision to be a reputable university in Asia so that we have to make a good planning and work to maximum in all fields to keep up with other universities in Asian level.

To answer the psychological challenges in the industrial revolution 4.0, the anniversary of FPPsi 2019 picks a theme of “ROGERS: Reconnect Each Others.” One real impact of the industrial revolution 4.0, is the lack of actual and social interactions among others which are replaced by gadgets.

As quoted by one prominent person of Individual Psychology, Alfred Adler, the individual motivation primarily lies on the social relationship. An individual has 3 main tasks in life, namely: social task, love-marriage task, and occupational task. Thus, a healthy individual is one who is able perform all of his or her main tasks in life.

“Thus, through a serial agenda of this FPPsi anniversary, it is hoped that this event can be a means of triggering awareness of the importance of direct social interaction to result a positive effect for individual psychological welfare,” Dr. Gantina reported.

The theme of the symposium was A Lovely Life by Life Interaction in industrial revolution 4.0. The symposium addressed psychological challenges in the industrial revolution 4.0 from psychological perspectives that will be analyzed by a lecturer of Psychology, Zarina Akbar, Ph.D. She shared her experiences in both negative and positive impacts of the digital era and social media toxic. The discussion about the impacts was discussed by a survivor of Anxiety Disorder, I Made Suri Pandu. She also shared ways to cope with industrial revolution 4.0 in such an assertive and creative manner based on the perspectives of the writer and founder of writing community “Pena Rasa”, Sri Izzati, S.Psi.

The opening of the 3rd anniversary of FPPsi and the 11th anniversary of Psychology Department was symbolized by beating the gong by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Suyono and Dean of FPPsi, Dr. Gantina Komalasari, M.Psi.
